Here are some views of the dining room.
Looking in from the living room...
From the kitchen
And finally, for now, the main bathroom upstairs...
Indra hasn't had a bath in over a year. Let me rephrase that. Indra has not had access to a bathtub since we got here so that was a top priority in designing the master bath.
So what do you think so far? I'll post more pics as the place gets put together. We, of course, are thrilled and relieved to finally be in here and to see our visions of what the house should be become reality.
More later,
Larry

very nice, I like the flow of the house. I love your little bathroom, good use of talavera tile but avoids the talavera tile sampler look that makes me dizzy...I am very impressed.

IT LOOKS AWESOME!!!! I know from experience what a luxury a tub can be and a nice one to boot! Congratulations, your place looks amazing. Can't wait to see more pics and even more importantly, see it in person.
This looks just great you guys. I am wicked jealous of your STUFF and of the completeness of your house. :)
Where did you get the old Merida bullfight posters, as seen in the "Mexican" bathroom?
Hey Malcolm,
Thanks for the comments. The bullfight poster is from 2005, so not so old. We were in Progreso on one of our vacation/fact-finding trips and were having lunch at Flamingos when I spotted the poster. I asked our waiter Vincent (an all-around go-to guy) if we could have it and he said, "Today is the bullfight, but come back tomorrow and I'll save it for you." The next day it was mine. That Christmas, Indra paid to have it laminated on a beveled board and it is coated to prevent UV damage. We liked it because it wasn't a generic poster, but a MERIDA poster.
I LOVE the tilework and the sink in your guest bathroom! I like the whole house. Those mirrors are familiar ;), but the screen isn't and it's beautiful. I bet it feels great to be home, but what are you going to do for excitement now?? LOL.
The screen belonged to my parents and is from Saudia Arabia. That and the mirror are among what little furnishings we brought with us.
As for what we do for excitement now? It's the YARD! And lots of it!
Larry
